![]() Whenever we can’t think of anything to eat or don’t want to wait in line, we go here to eat Thai food. Where can you find delicious shrimp pad thai for under $ 15 in Manhattan? They are working so hard to improve the place and we always notice little changes every time we go. But NOT this place baby! IT GOT BETTER! They haven’t changed their prices either. Usually when the owner changes, the quality of food drops. I found out about this place because my husband used to bring me home to-go pad thai from hophap. This thai place used to be hophap but the owner changed and now it’s Kor Tor Mor. Other than that, definitely another solid choice for the area! I thought service was sort of slow and they didn’t have any of the typical Thai condiments, which was a shocker. Not overly-greasy, not too much heat (but plenty of peppers)…although it was a lot of noodles. Subtle heat, strong galangal and lemongrass flavoring… delicious! Drunken noodles came in a sizable portion and were pretty good. The tom yum was awesome, and was easily the best item of the day. The salad was interesting… I think they just put satay sauce on top. For an $ 8 lunch special, you get quite a bit! We also got a choice of appetizer – I got tom yum – and a Thai salad. Today, I got drunken noodles (with chicken). It’s a mainstay in Thai cooking, has some heat, and has a buttload of basil. I almost always get pad ka prao as my go-to Thai lunch dish. My coworkers and our «try every Thai place in the area» continued today, as we walked all the way over to Kor Tor Mor. ![]()
